Los Angeles FOF Team
Music industry veteran and Friends of Fuller Founder, Iris Gordy is a former vice president of Motown Records, who helped launch the careers of several successful artists, including Rick James and DeBarge. She has produced and managed numerous music recording projects, is a respected entertainment consultant and is co-author of the recently published anthology, “PASSING IT ON” – Moving Stories of Activists 1960 – 2000. Ms. Gordy serves as trustee on several boards, including The Motown Museum, L.A. Women In Music, and The Rhythm and Blues Foundation where she is the Grants Committee Chair. Through FOF Strikefest, Ms. Gordy, along with her daughter Karla, is extremely grateful and proud to carry on, the humanitarian and professional bowling legacy of her beloved father, Fuller B. Gordy.
TV Host, event producer and Friends of Fuller Co-Founder, Karla Gordy Bristol is a former Motown Records corporate employee, who’s earlier career began as a professional choreographer and dancer, from American Bandstand to Lionel Richie & Smokey Robinson music videos. Born in Detroit and raised in Beverly Hills, she’s all-encompassing. Karla is a long time real estate agent, closing countless multi-million dollar properties over 17 years. She’s Executive Producer of “Destination Beverly Hills”, ten short films on the city. She’s CEO of Bristol Entertainment, handling artist development, talent procurement & coordinating, and concert productions. She co-owns her father Johnny Bristol’s copyrights to over 150 songs at Mokia Music & BUSHKA Music. Ms. Gordy Bristol enjoys helping others and supporting youth. She sits on the Ava’s Heart Foundation board, Motown Museum Alumni Committee, and is a member of ASCAP. Working alongside her mother, Iris and keeping her grandfather Fuller B. Gordy’s legacy alive, brings her much joy.
